5 o’clock parties are steadily turning into the traditional pastime of TCI UWED. A party thrown by the TCI on the 20 of May 2017 has impressed all the participants by the saturated program and well prepared performances. Students recited humorous poems, demonstrated their talents in dancing, competed in drawing emblems attaching witty slogans to them and, of course, singing and dancing. The Rock Ambassadors who became lately very popular at UWED TCI events offered a bunch of new pieces of music which made all students engage into rock’n’roll dancing. The band was really at its best on that day! The Ozone Layer, as usual, attracted the students by its wash board country music while the Roots were singing American folk songs touching the hearts of listeners by the beauty of presented melodies.
The cinema hall of UWED was decorated by posters, students’ drawings and photos reminding of the TCI UWED previous events. A video on TCI’s Chequered Saturday shown at the beginning of the party had been a real success and earned rounds of applauds. The tables laid by the students attractively turned the cinema hall of UWED into a students’ coffeehouse on the campus.
Roars of laughter, communication in English, jokes, good music, TCI UWED alumni and friends from different universities of Tashkent turned this party into a good break before the beginning of spring exams at the University.
