4 June 2015 has become a great day for the TCI UWED. A long awaited new interpreting suite has opened its doors for the students. The suite meets all modern requirements and is equipped by the state of the art facilities specifically designed to train interpreters. Installation of the suite has become possible thanks to the partnership cooperation between UWED and KOICA.
The opening ceremony which included launching of the UWED testing centre had been attended by the officials of the MFA, embassy of Korea and KOICA as well as the administration and students of UWED.
In the course of 6 years TCI UWED continuously supplies its students to interpret all kinds of events taking place at MFA and other state and international organizations functioning in this country. All these years training of interpreter-students had been carried out at the UWED conference hall which had interpreting equipment not specifically designed for training. From now on the students will have better opportunities to improve their professional skills using well equipped interpreting suite with two interpreting booths.
